Ayurveda Mansion Rambukkana

AyurvedA

Ayurveda translates to ‘science of life’ or ‘knowledge of life’ in Sanskrit. This ancient healing tradition took its roots in India more than 5000 years ago. Drawing from the wisdom of this ancient science of healing and fused with the island’s indigenous tradition of medicine, Sri Lanka is among the leading custodians of the ayurveda practice.
Ayurveda tradition is centered on the belief that health and wellness depend on a delicate balance between the body, mind, spirit and the environment. The main goal of ayurvedic medicine is, therefore, to promote good health and prevent disease. It also underlines the importance of personalised treatments.

Ayurveda is given the pride of place in Sri Lanka with state patronage. Department of Ayurveda in Sri Lanka is dedicated to the preservation and advancement of this hallowed tradition and thereby ensuring its continued relevance in today’s world. This state arm contributes to the the global recognition and acceptance of ayurveda as a holistic system of medicine. By fostering the integration of ayurveda into modern healthcare practices, the Department of Ayurveda continues to impact the health and well-being of individuals and communities worldwide.

Ayurveda Mansion Rambukkana is registered with the Sri Lanka’s Department of Ayurveda and offers a repertoire of wellness packages to select from.

Ayurveda Mansion - Where Healing Meets Heritage.

According to Ayurveda, the human body is governed by three principal energies, also known as doshas. These doshas are Pitta, Vata and Kapha.
Vata is the principal energy derived from air and ether elements; Kapha is water and earth; Pitta is fire and water.
All ayurvedic treatments offered at the Mansion are customised to suit the body type of each individual.
